Where is the snow?

We've had, what seemed to me, more snow this winter than in years. Now reaching mid-March, we watched out the window last week as the temperature rose just high enough for it to rain...for several days in a row. It's 57 degrees (F) today! Now we can see the bare ground!!! We are so excited! In fact, the girls are doing diagnostics on their scooters, bikes, and roller blades as I write this--making sure everything is in working order. There is a renewed sense of joy and even thrill as they begin the season of running, jumping and climbing trees. But before we leave this season for the next...
Bye-bye boots...

Bye-bye jackets, snowpants, hats, mittens...
Bye-bye ice skates (this was Olivia's first time and she wants to go again!)

(these things are great for first-timers)
"Look, Mom...I'm skating!"

Bye-bye winter!
Welcome SPRING!!!
