Olivia is doing well!
We thank the Lord for blessing us with a successful surgery!!!
We kissed Olivia goodbye at 9:30 this morning while watching her fall asleep. Our beeper went off at 10:25 am to let us know that the surgery had begun. Our beeper went off at 12:30 pm letting us know that the surgery was finished and that the doctor would be coming to talk to us. The doctor said that everything went very smoothly. We should expect no nerve damage!
Olivia was in a lot of pain coming off of the anesthesia, but it is now being managed. It is now about 4:30 and she's had some juice and crackers. She's been playing Polly Pockets and watching Winnie the Pooh. She even has some smiles to give to all of her nurses.
The hospital staff is top notch making her feel like something between a super hero and a princess. Now our challenge will be keeping her flat for 3 days. She's begging to sit up.
Pray for endurance.
Been thinking of you and saying many prayers for you. Wonderful news about her nerves. I hope the pain is less today and she can rest well.
